Hey just looking for a new vice. Started out with a black vice I got in a kit but the jaws are all dented and cracked from heavy use. Anyone got a spare vice? Preferably a rotary vice and possibly with multiple jaws and/or attachments? Thanks a lot. Ti...

was fishing yesterday when I brought in a dink smallmouth and found that there was no longer a posterior hook attached to my articulated fly, apparently the beading wire had broken at the loop releasing the rear hook. Both wires were still firmly attached to the shank of the anterior hook so it's not like one slipped out. Not sure when it happened but that same fly had accounted for about 35 smallies over two outings so it had gotten a good working over.
Thinking about a little heavier or stronger wire, any suggestions, I would like to keep the 7 strand stiffness if possible?
As always, thanks for your input
